This slideshow is the Final Project for the Umatilla 1 2011 SCA crew that worked in the Umatilla National Forest's North Fork of the John Day River Ranger District. They worked from May 23rd until August 17th, cutting new trail, logging out giant ponderosas and tamaracks, placing giants stones in a wall while wading through thigh-high water and brushing out the corridor to keep nature's advance at bay. It is also worth mentioning that they made some of the best food and baked the most awesome back country bread! I hope you enjoy this video as it displays the hard work we completed and all the fun we had getting that work done.

The Degenerates, as the crew called themselves, completed hundreds of feet of new trail projects, built four stream crossing fords, installed rock steps, cut out hundreds of trees and did so much more to help open the North Fork of the John Day River trail system up to equestrian use during the Fall of 2011.

Special thanks to Jarrod Ball at the SCA and T.J. Broom of the Forest Service for all their help and positive influence on the crew.
