Kia ora koutou! Ko Zach toku ingoa

For Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, we want to encourage our Neighbourly members to use more Te Reo in their neighbourhoods. To help with that here a few questions and answers to use with your neighbours:

Kei te pehea koe? How are you?

Kei te tinopai ahau! I’m really good.

A nice and simple way to see how you’re neighbours are doing. Some of our neighbours might really appreciate being checked on every now and then!

No hea koe? Where are you from?

No Manurewa ahau. I’m from Manurewa. Just switch out Manurewa for your home town and you’ll be tinopai.

Hīkina te rāpihi ki te rori! Carry the rubbish to the road.

Use this to remind your neighbours it’s bin day tomorrow, or to tell the kids to take it out as well.
