Made for the Paperny Films So You Think You Can Make TV? Contest.

Backyard Adventures is a television series that focuses on the evolution of sports through unique locations found throughout British Columbia. Follow our show as we travel the province to search out extreme sports and watch athletes challenge themselves as they push their limits. Witness some of the most beautiful and natural wonders that B.C. has to offer.

Each episode will feature a day in the life of an athlete as they overcome difficult challenges. This is not just sports show. We want to showcase not only amazing talents, but also the economic benefit that local business gain from the input of the surrounding sport community. For example, after a hard day rock climbing up in Squamish, the locals will stop in at the Howe Sound Brewing House after for a couple pints. One of the first episodes would include surfing Tofino in the morning, driving through the beautiful forest and skiing that very same day up on Mt. Washington. Another episode would include rock climbing the Chief Mountain in Squamish, then base jumping off it.

Judging by the enormous success of the recent Canadian feature film "Life Cycles" and the much anticipated film "The Art of Flight" we believe that this show would replicate that kind of success and fulfill the demand for this kind of television. The show alone would also prove to be a great marketing tool for the tourism industry in B.C.
