Invented by Reverend Robert Stirling (Church of Scotland) 1816. His engine design was based on the walking beam type. This model engine is a different configuration. Construction materials used: tin cans, scrap steel, brass, aluminum and copper tubing. I would like to thank my friend, Ron S. Brown, in California for his technical assistance in making this project possible.
