Learn how to do a push up with proper form every time by following a 7 step checklist. Every rep will be perfect when you apply these pushup tips. Here's the summary:

1. Keep head/neck straight. Don't assume the "desk position" where your head/neck is slouching forward
2. Keep shoulders more pulled back, don't push them towards your head
3. Keep the plane of your hands below your shoulders. They shouldn't pass the shoulders, as that changes the whole range of motion
4. Use the outsides of your hands for stability, not the inside, since the outside is more stable
5. Keep the hips and torso straight to ensure you're getting core benefits
6. Use a full range of motion to maximize the pushup
7. Use a controlled tempo (1 seconds up 2 seconds down)
