Two races of 100 laps each make up the Fontana 400. Formely the California Speedway, this is a D-shaped oval superspeedway.

The one stop strategy almost paid off again, but a damaged front wing didn't help in the final battle. I let the car wash too wide, slipped from his tow and couldn't catch Fittipaldi. Those Penske cars are quick.
