Cricket Australia installed probatter at Allan Border fields around 2010. Whilst facing the machine is limited selected players, here is a view of what it is like to those who haven't had the opportunity to do so. The balls being delivered are similar to a bowler bowling at 130km/hr, and the concept is that seeing a bowler run in prior to the ball release improves a batter's pre-stroke routine when compared to a standard bowling machine. My personal opinion is I'm not so sure. As you can see from the footage one BIG limitation is the poor contrastb of the screen which is improved as the sun goes down!
