This video is about the massacre at Wounded Knee, using a song recorded and performed by the group "Homestead and Wolfe" in 1975, entitled "See The Children Die". In July 2011, a member of that group, Ted Larson, visited Little Bighorn National Monument and took the pictures seen in this video. Thus, two important events are tied together: 1) Little Bighorn memorializes one the Sioux and Cheyenne's last armed efforts in 1876, where hundreds of 7th Calvary, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer, lost their lives after being surrounded by several thousand Lakota, and Cheyenne warriors; and, 2) Fourteen years later, in 1890, at the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the 7th Calvary massacred hundreds of men, women and children. So the pictures are from Little Bighorn, and the song is about the Wounded Knee Massacre. Music by JoAnne Avery Neish Lyrics by Ernie Bringas Used by permission.
