Miles and miles of sidewalks in the City of Los Angeles are damaged due to tree roots - trees that the City planted years ago. Now, the City cannot afford to repair these sidewalks and has proposed to put the burden on the property owner. We at Southland Regional Association of REALTORS have been fighting this issue for years. Join us in telling the City that it is NOT FAIR to switch this responsibility to the property owner. The City of Los Angeles needs to find a more appropriate and fair way of fixing sidewalks rather than forcing the property owner to pay thousands of dollars - especially during a time when many property owners can barely pay their existing bills.
