The Darkhotel APT - A story of unusual hospitality
Costin Raiu, Director, Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT) Kaspersky Lab talks about the dangers of the ‘Darkhotel’ advanced persistent threat (APT). Discovered by Kaspersky Lab this sophisticated threat actor specifically targets traveling executives to steal sensitive information – likely the intellectual property of the business entities they represent. Kaspersky believes the hotel attack vector of the APT crew has been active since 2007.
