Omar Offendum (Omar Chakaki), Mark Gonzales, and Nizar Wattad - who make up the Human Writes Project - were invited by Georgetown University in Doha, Qatar to perform a spoken-word peice and hold a workshop for aspiring writers and performers at Education City.
Omar, a Syrian-American architect & hip hop artist, Mark, a Mexican-American poet with a thirst for knowledge and a dream of justice, and Nizar Wattad, a Palestinian-American filmmaker & hip-hop artist, each bring a different element to the performance and stroked the heartstrings of many during their performance.
