This is Part 2 of my "How to sing with Great Vocal Tone" video series

This video gives a practice exercise for singers to practice in order to develop the 3 main aspects that produce great vocal tone:

1. No Strain. Instead complete Openess and Freedom

Exercise: Ma Ma Ma on an octave arpeggio with tongue slightly hanging out

This is due to the tongue being a huge culprit for strain and doing this gets rid of any tension in the tongue, creating more space for freedom and openness

2. Forward Placement - Singing in the Mask

Exercise: A descending arpeggio on Mmmmm, buzzing the sound in the nose and mask area of the face

3. Narrow Vowel Articulation

Exercise: A-E-I-O-U- on one note with narrow mouth. Trying to make the vowel sound predominantly with tongue and not the mouth
