The Heinz Center's second Horizons@Heinz event at the University Club in Washington D.C. on the topic of green chemistry -- the design of safe chemical products that can eliminate the use of harmful substances in manufacturing processes -- to reduce the impacts of toxic chemicals on human and environmental health. The event featured Dr. Pete Myers, Heinz Center Board member and CEO and Chief Scientist of Environmental Health, Dr. Terry Collins, Teresa Heinz Professor of Green Chemistry & Director for the Institute of Green Science at Carnegie Mellon University, and Dr. John Warner, co-founder of the Warner Babcock Institute.
