The Engineering Virality Bootcamp was part of the Stanford GSB marketing course - the Power of Social Technology (Dr. Jennifer Aaker), orchestrated by Julio Vasconcellos. A panel of experts, including Dave McClure, Andy Smith, Jeff Clavier, Ed Baker, Matt Wyndowe, Mark Hedrickson and Ben Katz, discussed how to engineer virality. The bootcamp is split into two approaches: left brain (quantitative and analytical) and right brain (more holistic and creative, relying on creating buzz-worthy messages that can be spread via word-of-mouth). In the bootcamp, the speakers discuss how to execute both kinds of tactics, and how both can be integrated to yield optimal results.
