With March Madness tipping off, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reminds motorists that fans don't let fans drive drunk. Fans should designate a sober driver and motorists should always use a seatbelt --whether they're on the road to the Final Four or down the street to the corner store. Recently, Lindsey Stovall of Owensboro received the 2012 "Saved by the Belt" award at Rupp Arena. Lindsey had just started using her seat belt when she was involved in a serious car crash. She walked away from the crash with minor injuries because she buckled up before driving. Also this month, the Adopt-a-Highway program's Spring Clean will be held March 18 through 24. There are over 800 Adopt-a-Highway groups across the state that performs four pickups a year on two mile sections of Kentucky roads. For more information on how you may adopt a highway, visit adopt-a-highway.ky.gov.
