This 5-minute symbolic video brings attention to and awareness of hardships new immigrants face trying to assimilate and fight social injustice. The video portrays two newcomers who recently moved in the U.S. It is implied in the video that these characters face objective and subjective difficulties as immigrants. So, characters express their thoughts, hopes and concerns individually one by one. It helps both to personalize characters and to present some concerns new immigrants might face during their assimilation in the U.S., especially loneliness, hopelessness and alienation.
Then they meet each other on a roadside and drive together to somewhere. These last scenes of the video leave the end of their story open. People who watch this video are free to decide whether these characters move on in their lives or run away from their problems (maybe leave the country), or are on their way to success. It contributes to the ultimate goal of this movie to show that immigrants are individuals who have complex and strong personalities as everyone else.
Finally, the video contains a computer-generated voice-over that declares several lines from "Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri, a major Italian poet of the Middle Ages. This voice-over serves both as some background sound and as a guide for those who watch this video.
