Martin Ssempa's video of the Jinja, Uganda demonstration where demonstrators called for the death penalty for homosexuals.
Some, including Martin Ssempa, say that the bill applies only to molestation of the "boy child" and is needed for that reason. This is not true. The bill's various extreme penalties apply to anyone found in homosexual intimacy and Uganda law already covers the boy victim. The Penal Code Amendment Act extended the defilement penalties to both male and female perpetrators against male or female victims. HIV transmission is also covered by that act, which was passed in 2007.
