REEF's Grouper Education Program is part of the Grouper Moon Project, a collaborative conservation program between REEF and the Cayman Islands Department of the Environment. Scientists and volunteers study the Nassau Grouper spawning aggregation off the western tip of Little Cayman Island. The project also includes an educational component funded by the Disney Conservation Fund. It is comprised of curriculum materials, classroom lessons, and "live from the field" sessions. In this video, Professor Brice Semmens of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography chats live with students from Cayman Prep and High School during the 2012 research field season.
