Tour of the Dragon: The Toughest One-Day Mountain Bike Race
The Tour of the Dragon mountain bike race takes place in the Kingdom of Bhutan. It is considered one of the toughest one-day mountain bike races in the world. It is here where a secret competition is known among the world’s greatest athletes…The Tour of the Dragon. Few dare to enter this one-day, 268-kilometer race. Toughest part of this race is just mountain pass after mountain pass. And only a few will succeed. Climbing the freaking mountains is not easy...this is 10 times harder than I was thinking. Sometimes I guess I have to listen to my body so I’m giving up now. They ascend the Himalayas…and descend at deadly speeds. They race until their last breath…and then among the challengers emerges one athlete who can honestly say I’m the world champion.
