I have been using this as a giant mp3 player (computer speakers inside, dial lighted for effect) for several years and am about ready to start restoring it electronically. That's why the eye tube looks wrong...it's actually a film canister and a manilla envelope brass clasp with green cellophane. I also took liberties on the cosmetic restoration, using wood repair filler to replace a huge missing piece of the left 'foot', and painted the bottom black to cover that. The calendar print at the end is actually from a 1930 General Electric calendar and is a Walter L. Greene illustration. I have seen other illustrations on eBay over the years, but never this one. It was a great find.
