There were goals galore on Merseyside as Everton edged a dramatic seven-goal thriller to advance to the next phase at Birmingham City's expense.
Calum Dyson broke the deadlock for Everton midway through the first half of the season, but Koby Arthur equalised within 15 minutes of the interval.
Courtney Duffus and substitute George Green appeared to have secured Everton's berth in Round Five, but Kyle McFarlane, who was teed up by Sam Deadfield, set up a tense finale with just 11 minutes left on the clock.
However, Green clinched the win with a free-kick, although substitute George O'Neill pulled a further goal back for Birmingham in stoppage time.
