On 2nd February 2015 construction crews were installing sections of a 120 metre high incinerator stack to Cornwall’s mass burn incinerator at St Dennis. Ten minutes after the crews were brought to the ground one of the stacks started to sway from side to side. Residents of the village are concerned. It was a calm day, no wind was blowing. What was the cause? Is the stack safe? What will happen when the notorious Cornish gales blow in?
