Year: 1994 Platform: PC (386)
This was our first full-fledged demo after releasing a couple of small BBS intros. The plan was to enter it in the demo competition at the Low Density party held in Namur, Belgium. Well, actually we did enter it. What we hadn't expected was that we would the only PC guys, a curiosity by itself at this mostly Amiga party. It crashed on the compo machine due to a cheap soundblaster clone soundcard being used. After some talks, lots of hand waving and some help from Daneel/Outlaws, we were finally allowed to show it on our own PC.
It initially had a plasma part done by me, which I had to remove because it was so buggy it caused other parts to malfunction; much to White Tiger's despair of seeing this already short demo further being shortened some more. The problem was some parts done in assembler and others in TPascal and i was clearly new to assembler at this point.
This party was a disaster, not many people, not much demo talk going ... attending it was actually the trigger for us to start thinking about organizing our own .. and so was born the concept for Wired'94.
