This is the first time using the H-45 Military Tent Heater. I got this as an emergency heat source in case I lose power this winter. It runs on various fuels and it does not need any electric. It outputs up to 45,000 btu of heat. This trial worked well. Tips: Instructions say to wait 3 to five min after you turn the fuel on, Also, tap and wiggle the line to force the air bubbles out. Put the full 4oz of diesel in the bottom of the burn chamber for the initial prime as the manual states. Any less and it may not start. Manual also says use one piece of tissue in the burn chamber. Found that two crumpled pieces of new paper worked better. Start it on high like it says and then turn it way down as soon as it starts. It will take about 2 or 3 min to calm down as the line is full of fuel. This fuel takes the few min to burn up. After that it will caml down nicely. The exhaust comming out the chimney should be nearly clear. It may be black at high settings. Experiment by turning it down slowly. You may get the same level of heat at a lower setting. It think the black exhaust is an indication that its buring rich. Disclamer: When using this inside, make sure its installed properly. Ensure the fuel line and source is per code and properly maintained. and USE A FIRE and CO DETECTOR!!! Please be safe!
