http://www.collectivebiodiesel.org Algae to Oil Via Photoautotrophic Cultivation and Osmotic Sonication presented by Evie Sobczak at the 2013 Collective Biodiesel Conference Evie's project is a culmination of four years of experimentation in the algae biofuel race. She worked on producing a 3rd generation fuel that was both energy positive and environmentally stable. She researched and refined her equipment and created innovative processes to develop an environmentally friendly method to cultivate algae, harvest its biomass, extract its lipids and transesterify the oil into an economically viable biofuel.
