How many times have we heard politicians call for comprehensive immigration reform over the years? The President was in El Paso talking about securing the border and promoting the economic benefits of a comprehensive immigration overhaul. But many Hispanic leaders believe Obama's sudden interest in reform is too little too late. Then we have the upcoming debate over the debt ceiling. It's clear we need spending cuts but also some tax increases to help erase our growing debt. And then there's military spending. The Pentagon says they are making cuts during these difficult times, but their budget was actually increased last year.
