8 simple hacks proven to get you more mileage out of everything you publish on Facebook.
Engagement matters. It means your audience is interacting with your content.
Engagement rates as a strong signal that your posts have value
The higher your engagement rates go, the more your page’s organic reach will rise, too.
1) The time to post is from 8 pm until about 11 pm.
10 pm – the highest spot on the chart – is the very best time to post.
2) The best day to post is Sunday.
Fewer posts overall are published on weekends, so you’re competing with fewer posts for your audience’s attention.
The lift you’ll get from the reduced competition will more than make up the difference.
3) Question and image-based posts get the most engagement.
The higher rates were specifically for posts that used an image and a question together.
4) Short text posts with less than 50 characters get the highest interaction rates.
The sweet spot is with 40 characters.
Those got 86% more engagement, though any post with less than 80 characters did well.
5) Posts that link to long-form content (articles of 1,000-3,000 words or more) get more engagement than posts that link to shorter content.
Facebook actually beats even Google when it comes to driving traffic to websites.
6) Native Facebook videos get more than six times the engagement than YouTube embedded videos.
7) Images posted to Instagram & then shared on Facebook get 23% more engagement.
Instagram is owned by Facebook. Instagram activity helps Facebook results, & vice versa.
8) Posts without hashtags do better than posts with hashtags.
Facebook isn’t as hashtag friendly as Twitter or Instagram is.
