This is a recording of the Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) event featuring Ursula Burns, Chairman and CEO of Xerox, a company she joined 35 years ago after completing her degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU and Columbia University. As CEO, Ursula is leading a major transformation of Xerox – from a predominantly technology company to a services-led technology company.
In addition to the Xerox board, Ursula serves on the boards of directors for American Express Corporation, Exxon Mobil Corporation, and The Ford Foundation. In March 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama appointed Burns vice chair of the President’s Export Council. She also provides leadership counsel to a number of community, educational and non-profit organizations with a focus on improving the U.S.’s education system in science, technology, engineering and math.
