I once had one of the post war Lionel Hudson's. That was a very impressive model, but the electronics which now go into models like this new 700E are in a class of their own.

Now that is hot! That must be about 39 degrees C? We got up to about 25C yesterday.

There is no sound chip at work, the engine is exactly as made several years ago now and the sound generated is entirely by the gearing from motor to each of the three drive axles. I think the way sound bounces off the fencing beside the track helps to accentuate the effect?
Beautiful engine. Was I imagining things, or is there a sound chip in that beauty?
This wouls put a Lionel 700E to shame!!!

Very nice. We are having a heat wave in northern California. If I had a nice outdoor layout like yours, my trains would melt. LOL It's 102 degrees F. at the moment. That is why I am inside enjoying your beautiful trains with air conditioning.
