Vice Premier Ji Pengfei Headed The Chinese Delegation a,d Turkey's Army Chief Of Staff General Nurettin Ersin, Led His Country's Representatives. The Parade At Rawalpindi's Racecourse Ground, Included Missiles And Trailers Bearing French Mirrage Fighter Aircraft. Addressing The Troops, President General Muhammad Zia Ul Haq Said The Pakistani Army Was Being Equipped With The Latest Weaponry To Defend The Country's Frontiers. The President Said The Armaments Would Not Be Used For Aggression. The Previous Night In Lahore, President General Muhammad Zia Ul Haq Had Said He Did Not Feel Under Political Pressure. The Previous Week There Had Been a Gathering Of Striking Teachers In Lahore And At a Recent Political Rally In Peshawar, Police Had To Disperse People With Teargas. The President Said He Intended To Stay In Charge, And He Had No Immediate Plans To Hold Elections.
