2018 is the 250th anniversary of circus, pioneered by Philip Astley in London in 1768. We're taking the opportunity to re-visit the question What Is Contemporary Circus? first posed in 2012 when The Space commissioned Crying Out Loud to create a series of short films, Circus Post, contextualising the development of circus over the past 40 years.
