Guinea pigs gamboling and cavies cavorting! :-) Soooo cute!!!! I want the brown one! After climbing down from the Incan ruins in Pisac, we stopped at a family bakery to eat some excellent empanadas. El Horno Tradicional, which translates as "earthen oven", is on a side street from the main plaza and market ("artesanal"). They have an oven, a dining table, and this pen for the guinea pigs. The pen is made from adobe, which is common for building houses in the area. The family feeds the guinea pigs vegetable scraps leftover from the restaurant. While I can't say that the cute animals won't get eaten, they weren't on the menu.
