(See more for narration and lyrics!) Math related parody to "Born This Way" by Lady GaGa. Nothing too fancy, just a music video for a Calculus project. ehh, just in case: I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO "BORN THIS WAY" ALL COPYRIGHTS ARE OWNED BY LADY GAGA AND INTERSCOPE RECORDS AND WHOEVER ELSE OWNS THEM! the intro song is from "End Title" from the Lost soundtrack, I do not own the copyrights to "End Title" either, whoever owns the copyrights to "End Title" owns them

Introduction:
This is the manifesto of Mathus.

Long ago, Mathus birthed a new subject, a subject of no prejudice and no judgement; a subject called "Math." However, on that same day, his evil twin sister, Hester, also birthed a new subject, subject full of prejudice, and full of judgement. Mathus only lay in despair as Hester was unwilling to accept his new foundings.

Angered by the infinite kindness of Mathus, Hester challenged her twin brother to a battle of EPIC proportions. Mathus leaned toward good and chose not to fight. Unfortunately, Hester's infinite boredom was too much for him. Eventually, it took over him, empowering him, until he couldn't take it no longer.

As he lay there, just seconds before his life disappeared, he thought everything he ever gave life to, and he wondered, "how could I protect something so perfect without evil?"

Lyrics:

It doesn't matter if you write y prime
or dy over dx (x, x, x, x).
Just put your calculators up
cause you derive this way baby.

My friends told me when I was young:
"Geometry is stupid."
They'd point and laugh as I factored out
polynomials in my head.

There's nothin' wrong with lovin' math
But they said "Algebra is really lame!"
But then we all started Calculus
and now they listen when I say:

(Refrain) :
In order to calculate
the instant rate of change
of a function, baby
I derive this way!

Area under a curve
oh, that's easy for sure.
I'm on the right track, baby
Integrate this way!

Oooh there ain't no other way,
Baby I derive this way,
Baby I derive this way!

Oooh there ain't no other way,
Baby I derive this way,
right track, baby
I derive this way! (End Refrain)

Don't be a drag, be concave up!
Don't be a drag, be concave up!
Don't be a drag, be concave up!
(Don't be, don't be, don't be, don't be)

Give yourself prudence
now you can find
how many Oreo's
fit in a box!
In the religion
of the integral
I must find volume
respect to x.

Differentiation
is not a sin
you can measure how quickly
oil is leaking!

And once you have the rate
All figured out, measure
the total amount
that has leaked! (Hate DNE)

(Refrain)

Don't be a drag, be concave up
Whether an architect
or engineer

distance, speed,
acceleration,
find them with
particle motion!

Whether life's big monstrosities
gives you a problem,
bullied or teased?

Rejoice and love yourself today
cause baby,
you derive this way.

It's cool if History's your game
or if English is your fave
I'm on my own track, baby
I was born to be brave

No matter fun, strange, or kind,
young or old is just fine,
you can save the world, baby
Math was born to survive!

(Refrain)

I derive this way, hey
I derive this way, hey
I'm on the right track, baby
I derive this way, hey!

I derive this way hey
I derive this way, hey
I'm on the right track, baby
I derive this way, hey!

(Hate DNE, you derive this way. Hate DNE, you derive this way.)
