SOT, Jonas Muller, Public Communications Manager Cluster Berlin (in English): "People say that only because of his song 'Only Looking For Freedom' the Berlin Wall came down. In 1998, 1989, he just took, he gave a great concert, a big concert, more than 500,000 people listening. And it was one of the most famous songs of the fall down of the wall. As we are celebrating this year the 25th anniversary of the break down of the wall, we are really happy to have him here from today on, for three months at our special GDR exhibition."

The Madame Tussauds museum placed a wax figure of David Hasselhoff in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Wednesday, as part of a series of events taking place in the city to commemorate the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Nearly 25 years since the fall and Hasselhoff's performance on New Year's Eve of 1989, Hasselhoff will be traveling to Germany on November 8 to speak at a 'peace' summit titled 'A World Without Walls.'
