Mugen #793: Hammerfest

Title is the name of a town in Norway, and refers to one of Sabotage's moves.

Now, many people believe I hate the entire staff of MI, and this is not the case. I only hate a select few, but it's enough to make me not go there for sanity's sake. What does this have to do with anything? Well, Xltima here (pronounced "Ziltima" I believe) is a char made by a (then) global mod, back in 2006-2007. Well, his FX are done in MS Paint, as is the spriting. You thought Mortal Kombat had a lot of gore? Think again. One slash sends a plethora of MS Paint's paint spray tool in bright red all over the screen. CLSNs need to be redone, and damage is quite high. Lightning FX begs for transparency. He lacks cooldown and startup everywhere. His range is enormous, due to his sword. He's quite silent. It's a curious little piece, and alright, but it's rather broken.

Sabotage here is, you guessed it, another beta. The voices are not done, so he has the same voices as #368's, which is the 2008 version. If boxing is your style of choice, you'll love him. His DM (QCB,DB,QCF+P) likes to give QCF+P sometimes, and that leaves you totally open. There are a few typos in the readme; RDP+P (Hammer) as QCB+K, and HCB+Z+C (Triple German, level 2) as HCF+Z+C. RDP+K is a move that launches the opponent, but I find it has a bit too much windup to be that useful, and you can't combo off of it due to the huge cooldown. Sometimes his DM does not fully connect (some punches miss) or in the case of the match, the suplex part never happens. This happens if the opponent is caught at a distance where at certain points he'll be out of attack range but still stunned. However, I can't find much else, and the char is damn good.
