So... this is a trial-fit of a Facet fuel pump to see if it improves starting. It's was a lot colder and I definitely think it improves starting when cold but especially when hot.
Please note that that is just a temporary place for the pump :) Still a few bolts missing but everything should be complete after I'm done.
UPDATE: I got to the bottom of why its ran so badly in this video. I took the carburetor off again and found the idle circuit completely blocked and some kind of white fibers blocking the idle circuit and main emulsion tube.... I drilled out two of the plugs on the carb body and managed to get these out... BIG difference, the car idles smooth and starts instantly with very little need for choke.
