I've been getting comments about my game violating copyright infringement laws, because of one particular feature in the game where it displays the title of the last game you collected. What happens is, the game has a built-in list of 1000 game TITLES, and it randomly selects one of them to display as the "Last Game Bought". Yes, it's true that I include names of existing games in that list. NO, I am NOT using ANY content from those games, I am merely mentioning the NAMES of the games (watch the video to understand better what I'm talking about). NO copyright infringement was intended with this particular feature, and I notified the OUYA game reviewers about it upon submitting my game for approval. They SPECIFICALLY CHECK games for things such as copyright infringement issues, and in my case, they obviously didn't see it as an issue because the game has been APPROVED FOR RELEASE. Please understand that I am all for abiding to the law, and if I get any kind of letters regarding Game Catcher violating any laws whatsoever, I will immediately modify the game so that the content is appropriate. Progress report of my Ouya game that I'm currently working on. It's basically a remake of the Atari game I made, which I demonstrated in the Heavy Sixer video.
Since last time I showed this version, I've collaborated the control scheme to work nicely with the Ouya controller, I added my own original music to the game, implemented 2 other game modes, and implemented the Options menu. Pretty much all of the material in this game is my own, except for some of the sound effects, which I got from a free sounds website. Hope you like it. ^^
