In this Week 3 video of Invade London I teach you how to make a mini Union Jack (British Flag) pillow. It's not difficult to make but does take a bit of time because you are using strips of fabric to recreate a country's flag. This is a mini pillow and the finished size is approximately 7.5" x 8.5".
It's not a difficult project to make but does take some time to sew down each strip individually. Once you make it in this manageable size consider adjusting the measurements and make a larger one too!
The supplies you'll need are: - 1 navy blue rectangle at 8" x 9" - 1 white rectangle at 8" x 9" - White strips: 1.5" x 8" and 1.5" x 9" - White strips: 1.25" x 12.5" -- cut two like this - Red strips: 1" x 8" and 1" x 9" - Thinner red strips: .5" x ~30" (cut 1 or two long strips and use what you need.) - sewing machine - rotary cutter + mat - rulers - fabric marker/ pen - pins - white thread and red thread (to match your fabric) - Poly-Fill or other filling: Can be purchased here: http://amzn.to/NqAuuc - hand sewing needle
