From winning the largest domestic order for electric postal vehicles, to weathering a tough economy, running a business has its extremes.

A native Richmonder, Skip Baker is the president and CEO of Baker Equipment which has been a part of his family for more than three generations. Baker equipment specializes in special service and truck equipment with a specialty in advanced technology and alternative fuel engine products. Skip has a degree in Economics and Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and is a graduate of the Executive Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He and his wife, Mary Lee, have three children, including Glen Baker who currently works as Manager of Operations at Baker Equipment.
