http://www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk and http://www.peakdistricttv.co.uk presents : Padley Gorge in the Peak District - Amongst the spectacular heather covered moors of the Peak District, a gentle babbling brook begins its journey over gritstone. In 4 minutes it's transformed into a heaving mass of white water in this superb new video. Padley Gorge is truly stunning.
Brought to us by the perfect partnership of Terrybnd and the UK's leading web portal, Peak District Online, this new video showcases a seemingly spectacular space in the National Park. Burbage Brook begins its life high up on the moors of the spectacular Longshaw Estate, meandering gently as it undulates through the quiet and gentle ancient woodland. This woodland once covered many valleys of the Dark Peak, so a little piece of history is preserved in this deep narrow passage, a crevice cut out of steep rocky sides by the unrestrained effusion of water.
With sun dappled pathways lighting the lone walker on his way, it's a perfect place for dog walking and a child's delightful playground.
As the music builds its tempo we're shown the power of Nature's bounty, a magical place where surely the celestial exist. A mossy covered fairy glen with trees twisted and contorted into every possible angle. A dell of green with silent secrets up its sleeve. We see gossamer cobwebs and moss cushioned woodland floors, silver birches adding a spooky metallic finish. A kingdom of drama, a photographers stage. The gentle stream is now a cascade of waterfalls, turbulent at times, but Padley Gorge is still a peaceful place to reflect, a quiet corner of this county's landscape to enjoy.
Another stunning part of the Peak District has been brought instantly to life thanks to the alchemy of Peak District TV and their Video making magician!
