Lisa Weil of Great Education Colorado read letters from concerned citizens across Colorado to more than 400 people attending a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss of public education opportunities at the Adams 12 Five Star Schools' Education Support Center in Thornton, Colo., March 16, 2011. Adams 12 announced $30 million in education cuts to come in line with the state's proposal to slash $375 million from public education for the upcoming school year. The letters highlight the negative impact continuing education cuts are having on student learning and achievement in the state. The segment ends with families chanting, "Fund our Schools."
