In 2014 Google, in collaboration with the Peres Center for Peace and the ORT school network brought 240 students and 17 teachers to empower and educate tomorrow's leaders of the importance of coexistence in the Israeli society. Through the Google+ Hangouts platform, groups of students hailing from the Jewish, Arab, and Druze Israeli sectors, worked together on joint projects that would express the significance of coexistence for the Israeli society. The Hangouts led to face-to-face meetings at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, Israel.
The video tells the story of 40 students from Ort Darski Akko (Jewish) and Ort Hilmi Shafi Akko (Arab) high schools, who designed a walking trail in the city that seeks to uncover the rich Jewish-Arab history in ancient Akko, and through that, discover ways to implement this cooperation in the future. This way, each community can tour the other's neighborhoods and be exposed to their peers' city from their perspective.
