+Tickmayham42 it's not an entirely different story. Granted, this version is oversimplified and only highlighted the last part of the story, but the overall theme is still present. The lyric tells the story through the eyes of the children instead of their parents' perspective.
I mean, they're very different stories with different meanings

holy fuck I used to listen to deadmau5 all the time About a year ago in english class we read a story titled the Veldt.. only now I get it In the story, it's futuristic, and these two kids have this "nursery" where it can make it look like they're in different parts of the world, they spend all their time in it and basically everything is run by machines. The parents wanted to stop all the technology in their house, and cut off power for a day, then the kids lure them into the nursery and they've altered the technology, so they transport the parents to Africa where lions kill them. ONLY NOW DID I REALIZE THIS MUSIC VIDEO IS BASED OFF THAT STORY
