When you wake up early in the morning at around 5 am, you will find a lot of birds chirping. They will be either Koels or Cuckoos. These birds are seen high on the tree branches. There are many birds found on trees. The most common birds are crows, pigeons and sparrows. In the night, you will see bats and owls. Do you know how the bats and owls can see in the dark? When they make sounds, they have sense organs to identify when an object stands in front of them by the reflection of those sounds. They don't need eyes. They have ears that can hear the minutest of sounds. As the birds build nest on trees, the bats hang on trees. There are many different types of nests made by different birds. The woodpecker makes its nest with leaves in the shape of a dome with a narrow opening at the bottom. Other birds have their nests in the shape of a bowl, made of dead leaves and twigs. The birds with such kinds of nests include hens, crows, sparrows and koels. Koels usually lay their eggs in other birds' nests as they are incapable of bringing up the young ones. The crows for example take care of those chicks. As you know when these chicks hatch, the bird comes and feeds them snails, worms and other small insects and fruits. There are many species of birds on the earth, varying from the tiniest Bee Hummingbird to the biggest Ostrich and the remarkable Penguins from the Poles!
