In 2006, Duane Peak was subpoenaed to have his voice analyzed to determine if he made a 911 call in 1970 that lured police to a vacant house in Omaha, Nebraska where a suitcase bomb had been planted. Peak testified that Ed Poindexter and David Rice made the bomb and instructed him to put it in the house and call 911. Rice and Poindexter were convicted based on Peak's testimony. This voice analysis proves that Peak did not make the call and that police and prosecutors knew he was lying in his 1971 testimony. Rice and Poindexter were denied a new trial based on this evidence. They have been trying to prove their innocence for 42 years.
