For more information on how to import custom assets, as well as the batch file required to fix newer games, go to this thread

http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.p...

If you are importing assets for portal 2, L4D2, DOTA2, or Counter Strike Source 2 : Global Offensive edition 2, Make sure to do things in THIS order.

1. extract models and materials
2. run batch file as specified by thread
3. extract maps , sounds, particles as desired.
4. add gameinfo.txt line as specified by the facepunch thread.

this works for any source game, though for older games you dont need to run the batch file (for example, portal 1). also I've noticed that sometimes bad things happen if you have portal 1 and 2 assets at the same time and the assets exist in both games.

These are the games I have tried importing

Zeno clash
HL2 ep 1
HL2 ep2
CS:S
DOD:SOURCE
Portal 1
Portal 2
L4d1 (partial success, some things broken still)
L4d2 (partial success, some things broken still)
TF2 MVM update
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
