Douglas Kearney,noted for his dramatic reading style and "performative typography," has authored the collections "Patter" (2014), "The Black Automaton" (2009) which was chosen for the National Poetry Series, and "Fear, Some" (2006). He was named a Notable New American Poet by the Poetry Society of America in 2007 and won the Whiting Writers' Award.
