Buddy Mike's 1974 VW Baja Bug - Rebuilt 1600cc w/ "Bus Box". Additional upgrades include: Baja Coil-over suspension (set at 29 degrees or something like that, I dunno I'm new to VW's). Side bars, motor cage, front bar, fiberglass one-piece front end, fiberglass rear fenders, "anti-rock chip" bed-liner rocker paint, and an ATV dune flag.
In this video we had just finished installing the flag, taping off and spraying the bedliner bottom, and paying tribute to Herbie the Love Bug with some necessary Baja 1000 racing numbers.
Despite the lack of 4WD, this Bug toured Potato Hill and surrounding trails (Stonyford - wet climate) with the relentless flat-bottom pan, baja suspension kit, and 31in M/T tires successfully. The only loss was a magna-mount CB antenna, which is typical of any vehicle in Stonyford
