Scotland the Brave is a Scottish patriotic song. It was one of several songs considered an unofficial national anthem of Scotland.

Lyrics:

Hark when the night is falling
Hear! Hear the pipes are calling,
Loudly and proudly calling,
Down thro' the glen.
There where the hills are sleeping,
Now feel the blood a-leaping,
High as the spirits of the old Highland men.

Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.

High in the misty Highlands,
Out by the purple islands,
Brave are the hearts that beat
Beneath Scottish skies.
Wild are the winds to meet you,
Staunch are the friends that greet you,
Kind as the love that shines from fair maiden's eyes.

Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.

Far off in sunlit places,
Sad are the Scottish faces,
Yearning to feel the kiss
Of sweet Scottish rain.
Where tropic skies are beaming,
Love sets the heart a-dreaming,
Longing and dreaming for the homeland again.

Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.

In the 1700s and 1800s there were deliberate attempts to disenfranchise and destroy highland gaidhlig culture, as well as diminish the use of lowland scots. You have to keep in mind that during those times Englands attitude towards the other British nations was very arrogant and condescending, Welsh, Irish and Scottish cultures and languages were regarded as being lowly and primitive. While much of that has changed now, the damage has already been done and resentment still lingers for it.

An Obama ad on a video that is 110% about courage and bravery. Haha, even Youtube makes jokes once in awhile.

We don't have any tax powers smart arse! So we are still chained and the devolved parliaments weren't given to us by England's good grace, we only obtained them due to the rising Nationalist vote. Do some research first before spouting off

Notice how Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland gets its own assemblies, national anthem and laws to vote on and England doesn't.

Don't like bagpipes, but this song always sounded good. Thumbs up to the poster.
