Nadine Romero, Thurston County Hydrogeologist

Romero is also an adjunct faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at St. Martin's University where she teaches physical geology. A dynamic speaker, Romero spends much of her time quantifying the hydrologic cycle of Thurston County and building numerical models for prediction in contaminant chemistry, land use and climate. Romero's presentation will feature her very latest research around local groundwater, streamflow distribution, and sea level rise issues which she recently presented in Denver at the 125th annual conference of the Geological Society of America. LOTT Clean Water Alliance staff will also be available to briefly update the community about its multi-year Reclaimed Water Infiltration Study. Open to the public.
